MSCSW  Annual (Virtual) Event

Join Sandra Miller, MSW, LCSW and immerse yourself in this unique, experiential workshop that draws on evidence-based Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT). She has a 41-year meditation practice and has led more than 275 clients through MBCT since 2016.

Using mindfulness effectively to improve client outcomes for treating depression, anxiety, ADHD, chronic pain and more hinges on seamlessly integrating it into your sessions. In this experiential workshop, you learn to incorporate mindfulness into your CBT, DBT and ACT sessions so it is purposeful and practical. You not only learn the why of mindfulness but also how to use it effectively so clients develop new habits of thinking, handling emotions and being present in their lives. You experience techniques that help clients learn to notice rumination and worry, to sit with discomfort without self-judgment and to ride the wave of primary emotions while detaching from the thoughts about the emotion that lead to emotional dysregulation.
